Rules by Question
The Rules by question area sets the points for each answer. This is where you decide how much each answer matters. The points you set here shape every applicant's score, so it is the score.heart of your screening.

FilterNarrow the questionslist
Three chips filter the list:questions, so you can focus.

| All questions | Every applicant question |
| Questions with scores | Only questions that carry points |
| Overridden vs master | Only questions where your points differ from the master |
You can also View all rules on one page, or download the current list.list for your records.
Find athe question
Questions sitare ingrouped into sections on the left, under All applicant questions.left. Each section shows its counts: how many questions,questions it holds, how many are scored, and how many areyou overridden.overrode — so you can see coverage without opening every one.
Each question row showsstates itswhere state:it stands:
- matches master — your points match the master rules.
- N overrides — you changed the points.
- not scored — the question carries no points.
Set the points for a question
- Select a question
row.toTheopenquestionitseditor opens.editor. - Read the applicable law shown for the
question.question, so your points stay compliant. - Set the Points for each
answer option.answer. The editor shows the master valuebesidenextyourtovalue.yours, so you can see what you changed. - Select Save.
Auto-failMake an answer an automatic fail
YouSome cananswers makeshould oneend answeran fail the applicantapplication on itstheir own.
- Select Set this answer to auto-fail.
- For some answers,
setadd a limit — for example, "More than [N] time(s) during last [N] year(s)." - To undo it, select Cancel auto-fail.
Start over with Reset to master
To drop allIf your changes andare not working, return to the master defaults:defaults.
- Select Reset to master.
- Read the warning. This removes every override you made.
- Select Reset settings to confirm.
