Rules by Question

The Rules by question area sets the points for each answer. This is where you shape the score.

Filter the questions

Three chips filter the list:

Chip Shows
All questions Every applicant question
Questions with scores Only questions that carry points
Overridden vs master Only questions where your points differ from the master

You can also View all rules on one page, or download the current list.

Find a question

Questions sit in sections on the left, under All applicant questions. Each section shows its counts: how many questions, how many are scored, and how many are overridden.

  1. Select a section.
  2. Read the question list on the right.

Each question row shows its state:

  • matches master — your points match the master rules.
  • N overrides — you changed the points.
  • not scored — the question carries no points.

Set the points for a question

  1. Select a question row. The question editor opens.
  2. Read the applicable law shown for the question.
  3. Set the Points for each answer option. The editor shows the master value beside your value.
  4. Select Save.

Auto-fail an answer

You can make one answer fail the applicant on its own.

  • Select Set this answer to auto-fail.
  • For some answers, set a limit — for example, "More than [N] time(s) during last [N] year(s)."
  • To undo it, select Cancel auto-fail.

Reset to master

To drop all your changes and return to the master defaults:

  1. Select Reset to master.
  2. Read the warning. This removes every override you made.
  3. Select Reset settings to confirm.

The button is greyed out when your rules already match the master.
