Overview & Inheritance

Questionnaire Scoring Rules control how LeaseOps scores your applicants. You set a pass score, a starting score, and the points for each answer. LeaseOps then scores every applicant against your rules.

Two levels: portfolio and property

You can set scoring at two levels.

  • Portfolio — shared rules. Every property inherits them.
  • Property — rules for one property only.

A property inherits the portfolio's scoring by default. While it inherits, you see:

This property inherits its scoring from the portfolio.

You then have two choices:

  • Select Edit shared scoring in Portfolio Settings to change the rules for every inheriting property.
  • Select Customise for this property to give this one property its own rules.

If a property is already customized, you can Re-inherit to drop its own rules and follow the portfolio again.

LeaseOps review

Your scoring changes may go to LeaseOps for review. A banner shows the state:

  • Pending — we are reviewing your changes. They are not active yet.
  • Rejected — we could not approve a change. The banner explains why.
